Every year, a ridiculous amount of food get thrown out or unused- and especially with the holiday season in full swing, the percentage tends to increase as more of us cook for our families and friends. Fortunately, researchers at both Stanford University and the University of Illinois have trained artificial intelligence programs to come up with recipes crafted from typical American holiday leftovers. The recipes ranged from potato casseroles to Christmas pudding, and after being replicated by human chefs, most of the recipes received high marks from the researchers. Read more here: BBC Future
