Schools Banning Kids Playing Tag

School districts in Alabama, California, South Carolina and Washington have banned playing tag.

Not kidding.

They say it's because the game undermines lessons about consent and boundaries. It also can promote bullying.

Now, not all experts agree with these districts. For example, Psychologist Rachel Tomilson told Fatherly that the game actually helps kids to learn emotional intelligence. Since kids either consent to play the game or do not, appropriate boundaries are drawn quite clearly.

However, since the game can ignite a predator-prey type dynamic, kids can sometimes get too rough while playing the game if it is not properly monitored by adults.

Which, to me, is a giant DUH.
