Madonna and Lady Gaga are really birds of a slightly different feather - both came from humble roots with a passion for making it big in show business and succeeded beyond virtually everyone's expectations. I always hoped the two would see each other as different generations of female greatness. But Madonna took offense to a quote Gaga used during her press tour for A Star Is Born: “There can be 100 people in a room and 99 of them don’t believe in you, but all it takes is one and it just changes your whole life…” Madonna has claimed she basically said the same thing in an interview: “If there are 100 people in a room and 99 say they liked it, I only remember the one person who didn’t.” Well, all seems forgiven now. The two were pretty chummy at a post-Oscar party. I hope that they can stay on good terms. Maybe there's a duet in their future...
