DATE NIGHT - Do THIS Instead of Binge-Watching Netflix

I've been married for 10 years and, honestly, it gets better every year. Also every year, we seem to have less and less time together. That part stinks. When we finally do and have some free time, we are often tired, or just don't know what to do with ourselves. So, we binge watch something on Netflix or Hulu. Hey, it's inexpensive and effective.

However, if you're getting a little bored of that and want to mix things up, Cosmo has 25 Things to do Instead of Binge-Watching Netflix.

Here are a few of my favorites from the list so you can spice up Date Night:

  1. Cook together - Rather than getting take-out or throwing something easy in the oven, work together to make something really good! Cooking together is an awesome thing to do that can save money and be a ton of fun.
  2. Get it ON! - I'm not trying to be gross here, but really... when 's the last time you did? Relationships (for the overwhelming majority of people) require physical intimacy. Not doing it for long stretches is BAD, and often leaves someone feeling down. Get busy! Have fun with it! You don't have to every night LOL but make it a habit. It will only result in good things.
  3. Explore a neighborhood you've never been to before - Find local shops or a new place to eat. Maybe do a little day trip to a place not too far away. It's kind of like clicking on a randomly recommended Netflix show without looking at the synopsis or rating first.

Those are some of my favs. Get the full list here: Cosmopolitan

Here's my wife and I in Ashville this summer on a random road trip. We had no agenda, just went there while our son visited with the grandparents. It was a lot fun!
