It's that time of year again! When 12 Dogs of Christmas will have the chance to write their letters to Santa and you get to be elves helping Santa send them home. It's easy, just share the letters so they make it all the way to the North Pole.
Meet Jake:
Dear Santa,
It’s me – Jake! You won’t find me in Alabama anymore – I moved all the way to NY and I have been patiently waiting for my new family to come along and take me home! I sure do miss having a home. I hope the one you find for me has time to play with me and take me for walks. My last one didn’t pay much attention to me at all and I remember how lonely I felt. I think that is why I learned to take myself on adventures and you have to admit, Santa, I have had some great ones! They could write a book about me!
I promise, Santa – if you find me people that like being with me, I won’t go out adventuring on my own anymore. Have you noticed how good I am about staying with my friends at HHDR? It’s because someone is always willing to walk me, play with me, take me on adventures! Even though I am having fun here, I do dream every night about what it must be like to belong to someone – really belong to them. I hope you find that for me.
In case you forgot, I am 3 years old and weigh 60 pounds. I am housetrained and although I don’t like it, I will settle nicely in a crate. I get along with everyone and everything – there is not a mean bone in my body, Santa, so it doesn’t matter who already lives in my new home – I will love them all! I am the sweetest boy you will ever meet. I don’t even chase cats or squirrels. I am a friend to everyone!
I am not very good at things like “sit” and “down”, but I do come running back when someone calls me! I don’t miss a chance for a good ear scratch or hanging out with people! I love to be right where the action is. My paws are definitely made for walking and my nose is made for exploring – so please, Santa, find me someone who likes to take a walk-about as much as I do, who needs to take in the sights, smells and sounds of nature and enjoys being outside “getting’ the stink blowed off ‘em” as my momma used to say.
I believe in you, Santa. I know you hear my wishes and you will find me the perfect family.
