Looking to Level Up? LinkedIn Just Made their Courses Free this Month

Even though lockdown measures are slowly being lifted across the country, most are still spending the majority of time at home. If you like to keep busy, but you’ve already killed your sourdough starter (guilty!) and made enough tie-dye t-shirts to last you a lifetime, consider enrolling in an online course and learning a new skill or two.

Don’t know where to start? LinkedIn has just released a list of 20 of the most popular courses on its Learning platform. Even better, all of these courses are now completely free to watch until September 30.

Unsurprisingly, the most popular course of the year has been “Time Management: Working from Home.” Taught by Dave Crenshaw, the author of “The Myth of Multitasking: How ‘Doing It All’ Gets Nothing Done,” this course goes over things like how to set up a productive work environment and limit distractions at home. More than 300,000 people from all walks of life (like university professors, software developers, and military members) have already watched this course. Although just under two hours long, it’s chock-full of valuable information. As one person who took this course said, “a lot of the information seems like [the] stuff we should all know, but it’s not [the] stuff we think about enough to put into practice and improve on while WFH [working from home].”

Not all of the courses focus on productivity, though. You could also learn how to code in Pythonimprove your strategic thinking skillsdevelop your emotional intelligencemaster Excel, or build a personal brand from scratch

The enrollment process, if you can even call it that, is super simple. There are no prerequisites or admission tests. In fact, you don’t even need to have a LinkedIn account to get started. All you have to do is click on the course that catches your eye within the list and start learning.
