James Taylor and His All-Star Band, with special guest Jackson Browne will visit upstate New York for two special nights when they perform at the St. Joseph’s Health Amphitheater in Syracuse, NY, on Sunday, August 22, and at Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs, NY, on Tuesday, August 24. Tickets for both shows will go on sale on Friday, June 11 at 10 a.m. at LiveNation.com.

ABOUT JACKSON BROWNE:

Jackson Browne has written and performed some of the most literate and moving songs in popular music and has defined a genre of songwriting charged with honesty, emotion and personal politics. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004 and the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame in 2007.

Except for a brief period in NYC in the late 1960s, Jackson has always lived in Southern California. His debut album came out on David Geffen’s Asylum Records in 1972. Since then, he has released fourteen studio albums, four collections of live performances, two “best of” compilations, two DVDs and several single recordings. Jackson’s new studio album, “Downhill From Everywhere” is set for worldwide release on July 23, 2021.

Taylor released an album of standards on Feb. 28, 2020. American Standard, featuring covers of tunes written by legendary songwriters as Rodgers and Hammerstein, Jerome Kern, Harold Arlen, Frank Loesser, and others. It won a Grammy Award for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album in 2021.

Taylor became the first artist with top ten albums in each of the last six decades when American Standard debuted at #4 on the Billboard Top 200 album charts.

As a recording and touring artist, James Taylor has touched people with his warm baritone voice and distinctive style of guitar-playing for more than 50 years, while setting a precedent to which countless young musicians have aspired. Over the course of his celebrated song writing and performing career, Taylor has sold more than 100 million albums, earning gold, platinum and multi-platinum awards since the release of his self-titled debut album in 1968. album of his illustrious career. Taylor has won multiple GRAMMY Awards, has been inducted into both the Rock and Roll and the prestigious Songwriters Halls of Fame and in February 2006, The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences selected him its MUSICARES Person of the Year. Taylor was also awarded the distinguished Chevalier of the Order of Arts and Letters by the French government and the National Medal of Arts by President Barack Obama in 2012. In November of 2015, Taylor was presented with the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the Nation’s highest civilian honor and in December of 2016 he received the Kennedy Center Honors, which are presented annually to individuals who have enriched American culture by distinguished achievement in the performing arts.
