The Steve Miller Band, a classic rock group and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees, will perform at the New York State Fair on Thursday, August 21, at 8 p.m. The concert will take place at Suburban Park, located on the western end of the fairgrounds, and is part of the Chevrolet Music Series. The show is free with fair admission, and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
The band, known for hits like "The Joker," "Abracadabra," and "Fly Like an Eagle," last performed at the fair in 2015, drawing a crowd of over 35,000 fans. Steve Miller's music has been a staple on American radio since the 1970s, with his greatest hits album selling over fifteen million copies. In recent years, the song "Abracadabra" has regained popularity due to its feature in Eminem's single "Houdini."
The New York State Fair runs from August 20 through September 1 and will feature 41 national recording acts. Concerts are scheduled daily at Chevy Court and Suburban Park, offering a diverse lineup of performances.
