Kitty Hoynes Irish Pub & Restaurant in Syracuse, New York, is set to be featured on the Food Network show 'Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives' tonight at 9 p.m. This marks the second appearance for the pub on the popular show, which is hosted by Guy Fieri. The episode, titled "From Barbecue to Boxty," will showcase the pub's unique dishes.

Kitty Hoynes first appeared on the show in 2012, when Fieri praised their Reuben fritters and Irish meatloaf. For this episode, the pub is introducing two new dishes: lamb sliders topped with goat cheese and red onion marmalade, and Kilkenny boxty potato cakes. These potato cakes are a traditional Irish dish made from shredded potatoes, butter, and cream, cooked to a golden crisp on a griddle.

Although Fieri himself did not visit the pub for this segment, his crew filmed the kitchen action in March, led by Chef Damien Brownlow. The pub's owner, David Hoyne, expressed excitement about the opportunity to feature new dishes on the show.

Kitty Hoynes plans to host an informal watch party at the pub for the airing of the episode. The pub, a staple of Fayette and Franklin streets for 25 years, continues to attract both locals and visitors with its authentic Irish fare.
