City Names TransLAted In Honor Of Hispanic Heritage Month

I’ve been so excited about this fun little project, and I’ve already shared a couple of my Spanish surprises, but starting this Friday on the #ellenkmorningshow on @kost1035fm I will #transLAte the most influential… @cityoflosangeles

Originally a farming community, LA was named "El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de los Ángeles de Porciúncula," which translates to "The Town of Our Lady the Queen of the Angels of Porciúncula" in English. This community, now known as Los Angeles, evolved under Spanish, Mexican, and American rule to become one of the world's largest cities. Today, the historic town/pueblo is Olvera Street, a Los Angeles Historical Monument. 🌆🏛️🌟

Happy Hispanic Heritage Month to all of you angels from El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de los Angeles de Porcincula!
